I've always loved art from a young age, and over the years have begun to create more art. I particularly like abstract art because I find it can have multiple meanings in one work of art. The complexity conjoined with the simplicity of expression is beautiful to me. Some favorite mediums are acrylic paint, oil pastels, and multimedia art.
I believe that anyone can create art with anything around you. The core of being an artist is creativity and the ability to create something new from something old. I use a wide variety of tools in my art such as toilet paper rolls, produce net bags, and old yarn.
There are a few processes I use. One is to feel your way through it, pick colors and paint with whatever feels right. Another is to meditate for inspiration and create what I see. Other times I'll get inspired with a random concept that I turn into art. The biggest thing is to just create, doing something is better than nothing.
